HOUSE RULES
Occupancy:
Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Parties, events, and unapproved visitors are not allowed without prior written approval from the host.
Parking:
Parking is available for two large SUVs or three small to medium cars side-by-side in the driveway. Please do not park in the common driveway or the neighbours’ driveway.
Quiet Hours:
Please respect our neighbours and observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Excessive noise, loud music, and outdoor gatherings during these hours are not permitted.
Pets:
Strictly no pets are permitted on the premises.
Smoking:
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the home.
Refrigerator:
The French refrigerator doors may occasionally require a slightly firmer push to close completely, as the center flap is magnetic. Please ensure both doors are fully closed after use.
Food and Beverage Disposal:
Please clear out the fridge, freezer, and pantry before you leave. Do not leave any food or beverages outside, especially overnight, as they can attract bears and other wildlife.
Garbage:
Collect all garbage using the garbage bags provided and dispose of it in the grey garbage bin located behind the white shed outside. Please ensure the bin is securely closed with the clip, and that no garbage bags are left outside, as they can attract wildlife.
Recycling:
At this time, there is no recycling service in the area. Kindly include recyclables with the garbage.
Water Activities:
The waterfront and water activities are used at your own risk. Properly fitted life jackets must be worn during any water activities. Guests using any watercraft must take the orange water safety kit with them at all times while on the water. Children must be supervised at all times near the waterfront.
Hot Tub:
Guests must rinse off before entering the hot tub to prevent sunscreen, sand, and other residues from contaminating the water and obstructing the filter. No glass containers are permitted in or around the hot tub area. It is not recommended for children to use the hot tub or sauna. Children are less able to tolerate higher temperatures and cannot regulate heat as well as adults. Lowering the temperature, much shorter heat exposure time, frequent breaks, and ensuring the child’s physician approves of the activity prior to using these amenities are all suggested.
Sauna:
Please do not splash water on the sauna heater, as this may damage the unit and create an electrical hazard. Damage resulting from misuse may require guests to forfeit their security deposit. A water basin is provided should you wish to splash water on yourself instead.
BBQ:
Please ensure the BBQ is turned off after use and remember to shut off the gas supply valve when finished.
Gas Fireplace:
Please ensure the fireplace is turned off before going to sleep and before leaving the property.
Furniture and Property:
Please do not move indoor furniture outdoors. If furniture is moved during your stay, please return it to its original location before departure.
Damage and Maintenance:
Please report any damage, malfunctioning equipment, or maintenance concerns as soon as possible so they can be addressed promptly. Prompt reporting helps us ensure the property remains safe and enjoyable for all guests.
Fire Safety:
Fireworks are not permitted anywhere on the property. Please follow all local fire restrictions and regulations during your stay.
Departure and lock-up
Before leaving the property, please:
Remove all food items from the fridge, freezer, and pantry.
Dispose of all garbage in the outdoor bin and ensure the lid is securely clipped shut.

Security Cameras:
For your peace of mind and the security of our property, we have two exterior security cameras on-site. These are only used when the cottage is unoccupied and are turned off during your stay.
Cameras monitor the front entrance and steps only.
There is no view of the hot tub, sauna, or back deck.
The side camera cannot see any private outdoor spaces.
Water:
Our water system is supplied by a well, which can occasionally produce a metallic or sulphur odour. Please rest assured that the water is sanitized and safe for washing fruits and vegetables, brushing your teeth, and showering.
For drinking water, please use the water cooler located beside the bar cart. Spring water is provided for your convenience.
Fireplace:
Use the grey remote to activate our propane-powered fireplace.
Press Mode and wait a few seconds for the fireplace to ignite.
Use the up and down arrows to adjust the temperature.
Please ensure the fireplace is turned off before going to sleep.

There is a built-in breaker switch on the heating unit.
Locate the breaker at the bottom left of the heating unit.
Unscrew the protective cap.
Depress the breaker switch.
Replace and tighten the cap.
Set the timer by turning the timer knob clockwise to your desired setting.
We recommend preheating the sauna for approximately one hour before use (setting 1).
The thermostat knob is located beside the timer. For the highest temperature setting, turn the thermostat knob fully clockwise.
Hot Tub:
Please ensure all jets are submerged before turning them on.
Use the touch-screen display to turn the jets on and off.
Please remember to turn the jets off after use.
Please shower before entering the hot tub to help keep the water clean.

Paddles, canoes, kayaks and paddle boards must be returned to the storage rack after use.
Life Jackets:
Life jackets and water safety kits are located in one of the dresser drawers in the bunk bed room.
Please return life jackets to the drawer only when they are completely dry.
If they are wet after use, kindly leave them on the entry mats to dry before storing them.
Outdoor Deck Lights:
The switch for the outdoor string lights is located outside on the far right side of the front deck.
Lift the brown switch box cover and use the switch inside to turn the lights on or off.
Window Shades:
Use the small white remote to open and close the window shades.
To operate both sets of blinds simultaneously, ensure all red indicator lights on the remote are blinking.
